Although I’ve created websites and worked with technology for years, I’ve focused on the needs of indie authors since May 2014. I’m developing an exciting program that’s the culmination of my journey of the past 15 months, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
But first I want to talk about my motivation.
I’m a member of a deeply meaningful and life-changing group under the mentorship of D’vorah Lansky, an inspirational and seriously talented woman. Our sessions are held via phone once a week. The conversations are recorded for later reference, and we ask for help with our latest projects and challenges, and brainstorm with the others of the group. I always come away from them revitalized, with many new ideas buzzing through my head.
On maybe my first call, I mostly listened, unsure of the protocol and not feeling like I had much to contribute, as I was new to the author marketing world. I don’t remember much else about what was discussed on the call, except for the plaintive cries of one lady who was having a frustrating time. She wasn’t good with technology, she declared, and she didn’t know what to do with her website. It was old and outdated and she was frustrated with it.
Without even thinking, I interrupted whomever was speaking next and said, “I can help you with that!”
If we’d been in a room together, I feel like everyone would’ve been looking at each other, wondering who this person was, bursting in that way. But I couldn’t help it. She had a need, one that was disrupting her ability to move forward with marketing her book, and I had the answer. I wasn’t coming from a place of superiority, but of responding to that heartfelt need. My heart responded.
She was overjoyed. I redesigned her site, with D’vorah’s experienced guidance, and we’ve become great friends in the process. Today, although she still gets frustrated with the tools online marketing requires, she is much more confident, because she knew she had a guide along the way. She has greatly inspired and helped me so much in return.
I want to replicate this result.
I want to help YOU with your frustrations with online marketing tools. Do you have a website problem? Do you need a good strategy for Twitter? Do you feel hopeless at achieving a podcast?
I can’t do it all for you, but I want to guide you to a strategy for dealing with the confusing world of online book marketing. And despite the huge number of “I”‘s in this post, it’s about YOU and your desires for success. I want to help you share your message.
It’s coming soon.
The destination is YOUR success.
